Your Device Code
First time Run of Equal-Eyes
After equal eyes installation. Within your headset, Browse to the App Library and using the pulldown in the top right hand corner, Select "Unknown Sources"
In here, you will find EqualEyes Listed.
Important Note: Only one copy of EqualEyes must be installed otherwise the application will fail Authorisation.
Run the application by clicking on it.
You will be presented with the following panel.
IMPORTANT: Please disregard the emailing of the code to activate@avalonweb.com.au. We now have a self activation portal.
Make a record of the Device Code. Then close the application using the Oculus button.
If the device code does change, then you have multiple copies of Equal Eyes installed. Please do the following.
Once the device code DOES NOT CHANGE, use the Equal-Eyes Portal to register your application and obtain your Authorisation Code.
NOTE: Please disregard emailing the Device Code to AvalonwebVr this has been replaced by our shiny new self authorisation Portal below!
Once processed a unique Authorisation Code will be generated and emailed back to your PayPal Email address.
Note: when using the authorisation code, if it is entered incorrectly, this screen will remain after pressing enter, so please check both the Device Code and Authorisation codes are correct.
Contact AvalonwebVR through vr@avalonweb.com.au should you require support.
Additional Information - ADB installation.
If you are still having problems connecting then the following procedures may help.
The number one reason is because the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) has not been installed.
Windows PC - ADB installation
On occasion, it is possible you are unable to connect to your headset using SideQuest.
If using a PC Please check you have followed the official Device Setup Procedure (PC)
MacOS - ADB installation
Download the Android SDK Platform Tools ZIP file for macOS.
Extract the ZIP to an easily-accessible location (like the Desktop for example).
Open Terminal.
To browse to the folder you extracted ADB into, enter the following command: cd /path/to/extracted/folder/
Connect your headset to your Mac with a compatible USB cable. Change the USB connection mode to “file transfer (MTP)” mode. This is not always required for every device, but it's best to just leave it in this mode so you don't run into any issues.
Once the Terminal is in the same folder your ADB tools are in, you can execute the following command to launch the ADB daemon: ./adb devices
On your device, you'll see an "Allow USB debugging" prompt. Allow the connection.
Alternative Installer - Oculus Quest Developer Hub
With the headset connected, open the Device Manager Tab and use the "Add Build" button to browse to the unzipped EqualEyes.apk file.
