Getting Started

INTRODUCTION

Equal-Eyes Pro (EEPro) has been developed as a feature rich variation of the Equal-Eyes Strabismus Therapy Exerciser. It operates as a stand-alone application designed for the Meta-Quest VR Platform. It is administered across the internet therefore requiring an internet connection in order to operate.

EEPro can be purchased and used both by a private individual or as a VR Accessory for a Visual Therapy Clinic. A clinic would procure EEPro for use within the walls of the clinic. Regarding this use, a companion application, name The EEPro PC Clinic application is available on a subscription basis.

EEPro Clinic PC Application

The EEPro Clinic PC Application has been designed to run on Windows 10 or above. As a companion application to EEPro running on the VR headset, it will require a direct connection to a USB Port on the PC. The style of cable used should be an approved Quest Link Cable. There are alternative cables available for fast data-transfer and Headset to PC Isolation. Isolation is important as the headsets Wifi connection can become impaired without it.

The Clinic application provides a means for the Vision Therapist to control the headset using the PC. It also provides a visual representation from both the Left and Right eye as observed by the patient wearing the headset.

The menu system provides all the features at the touch of a button to the therapist enabling control of the scene being displayed and selection of the exercises.

The calibration of the headset to the patient is done through the application and the resulting configuration is stored for every session for the patient. By doing so, each adjustment made for the current session can be stored on a database managed by the app providing the clinic a progress record of the patient visits.
