I’m Melissa! I have strabismus and have gone to all lengths to help my eyes work together and become straight! I’ve had surgeries, patched, used glasses with prism, and participated in vision therapy. I’ve spent hundreds of hours researching strabismus and experimenting with solutions and I want to share that information with YOU.
Healing our sight podcast opens a dialogue between patients where we share our experiences with improving our eyesight. Topics will include but not be limited to amblyopia, strabismus, convergence insufficiency, traumatic brain injury, and ocular stroke. The podcast will also include discussions with doctors and other professionals where we talk candidly in layman's terms about the treatments available for creating our best vision.
Amblyopia and Strabismus Lazy Eye Therapy at home using Equal-Eyes Virtual Reality on the Oculus Quest 2 and Android Mobile. Here you will find support on using the application, receive announcements of new releases, ask questions to fellow members and make suggestions for improvements.
VT Parents Unite is a group designed for passionate parents who know the huge benefits that Vision Therapy provides and are passionate about making sure all those who need it, know about it and can access it. We desire to raise the awareness of: the symptoms for proper and timely diagnosis; the benefits of VT in our communities; and the level of knowledge and coverage by insurance companies across the U.S.
You are not alone! Together we can make friends, support each other, and talk about what has and has not worked for you.
